This does sound good. Sounds like something that my DH will eat. Looks pretty frugal to me. I got all the "Mexican" ingregiants for free at Kroger 2 week ago.

We don't all have Kroger, though. I don't buy taco seasoning; I make it. It's pretty cheap... I get my turkey for .99 at SAL, so that's fine... but the canned corn is a buck a can if I go on a whim (which I'm considering) and buy it. I have the lettuce from SAL for .99 too... hmmmmmmmm... it would still be one of my more expensive meals, but I'm considering making it anyway.

The only thing that I don't have is the bread crumbs. Do you think I can get away with using corn flakes?

I'm not sure about that... I almost never buy bread crumbs. I put a few pieces of bread in the oven on 250 for about 15 minutes or so, and then grind them in the blender. voila! bread crumbs.

even toasting a couple pieces of bread and them crumbling works well also, I never buy bread crumbs they are too expensive
