I have a question regarding the crock pot recipe for the whole chicken... You don't cover the chicken in water or any type of liquid, right? Just basically season it with the butter, lemon and spices? Does the chicken stick the to acual pot?
Do you have anymore crock pot recipes that are easy? I have been using mine up a storm since having the baby. But I am running out of ideas. DH is basically a meat and potato, or meat and rice type of a guy though.
Everytime I have ever cooked anything in my crock pot, I have always had it covered with some type of liquid... so this would be new to me.
Nope. You don't need liquid. It'll make plenty of its own liquid, trust me. It's so yummy, too... it'll fall apart on ya. After it does start to make its liquid, I'd recommend basting it a few times, but other than that, it can pretty much be put in, seasoned, and left alone.
I'll have to look for some of the other crock pot recipes... and I'll put them up in the subforum.
Yep, she's right! I made this one about a week ago and it was super yummy!!! And my family will only eat white meat, so I saved all the dark meat, pulsed it in the food processor and used it to make chicken enchiladas. They never had a clue.
