I went to Linens N Things, Target, Garden Ridge and CVS.

Here's the highlights:

Got two sets of twin sheets at Linens N Things for $8.64! These are very much needed as we're setting up our guest bedroom and the only twin sheets we have are plaid boy-looking ones that Dh used in college. We have two twin mattresses next to each other because it was cheaper than buying a king mattress so we need twin sheets.
At Target I got a king sized quilt and sham set that matches the sheets for $25. I also got school supplies on clearance...64 count Crayola for 0.81, index cards 0.08, markers 0.37.

CVS didn't have any baked Lays so I didn't do their deal. I bought some Coke and Sprite at Target so I didn't really need the Pepsi anyway.

Way to go!

I saw bedding on sale at Target, too... I was so tempted... but it's not really needed, so I opted not to stop and look close enough to really want it.

Don't even get me started on bedding. Sheets are my downfall. And towels/bathroom rugs. I could spend a mint on any of that stuff, but I don't let myself. *sniff sniff*

Great deals!

I felt a little bad spending $75 on the kiddo's big boy bed stuff, but I figure he'll have it for several years, so...

I was going to get the sheets at Target, but Linens N Things had them cheaper for the same thread count. Only one color choice though.
They're cheapie sheets but they should do. I washed them with tons of fabric softner so maybe no one will notice...

I also got mattress pads and another egg crate mattress.

I will be glad when we are done buying all the needed "stuff" for this house!
Then I can go back to actually having a budget...

I don't know if any of you have a ShopKo near you .... but today they had a ton of mattress toppers for 60-75% off ... normally $150 for queen size and marked down to $44.95. These are the fluffy type things you put over the mattress to make your crappy mattress feel like a good one.

I just wanted to add...if anyoen is ever looking to replace their mattress, go with the Sleep Number bed! So worth the money! Our other mattress we bought when we built the house was crap. But at the time we were buying a living room set and a bedding set so we got a really cheap mattress. We told ourselves we would buy a sleep number one when I got pregnant. It has been so worth it in the last 3 years!!!
