OK, I'm a little slow sending out a SASE for coupons because I kept forgetting to buy stamps. So finally last night I gave the SASE envelope to DH inside the envelope I actually need to mail. I asked him to stamp both envelopes and to stuff the folded one inside the one to mail out. He just IM'd me asking what he's supposed to do with them (again). So I walked him through it.

DH: "Yes, but what else goes in the envelope?"
Me: "I put a note in there, too."
DH: "So you're mailing an empty envelope to someone?"
Me: "Yes, so I can get coupons."
DH: "But you're not going to put anything else in there?"
Me: "No, I put a note in there for her. She didn't want any coupons in exchange."
DH: "OK, if you're sure..."

Reminded me of the old "Who's on First" routine.

I feel like that with DH too. I don't think I could even talk him through the concept of a SASE.

Chris was like, "wait... so you are wasting two stamps?"

"yes dear, I'm getting coupons back in exchange. The money we save will be worth two stamps."

"No, I think thats a bad deal".

If you're spending .82 and getting only 8.00 in coupons, it's nearly ten times the investment returned. How come that's so hard for men to understand? It's just like driving to work. Sure, it costs you money to get there (gas, wear and tear on the vehicle), but you GET money for it... silly boys.

I know. But he doesn't think we NEED the items I'm getting coupons for. Of course he doesn't complain when he is eating the food....

I'm married to a name-brand snob, so it's not hard to convince him. If he wants name brands, then I need coupons... period. The end.

Men just don't get it...

Chris is a name brand snob too on most things. It's ridiculous.
