Good shopping, Liz. You sure won't run out of Ragu for awhile. I love it too. My mom would only buy Prego and I didn't like it.

I haven't had anything to brag about. I'm really trying this minimal shopping thing. I went a tad overboard on Friday but it's all good because the month doesn't start until tomorrow.

WOOHOO! Good one. I love Ragu, too... especially their robusto! line. YUM. I stock up when it's on sale, too. We have spaghetti at least once a week, and I also use it for making pizza and lasagna, so I like having lots on hand.

PS. I won't have a brag for at least a month now, unless I can get something for a buck or less at CVS and save 20. Which HAS been known to happen, so you never know......

It may be my jaded stockpiling brain, but 26 totally doesn't seem like a lot to me these days. 100 ... maybe ... buy 26 is like a standard number. Great shopping, Liz. I always end up paying $1 for Ragu. 69c is much better.

Yeah! Good shopping! Ok, my October started yesterday so here's some of my deals:

Walgreens - I didn't include these in my budget but they were a good deal:
Nature Made Prenatals were BOGO and I had 2 $1 coupons so I got 2 bottles for April for only $10.99, savings of $14.99

Meijer -
Caramel Apple Dip was BOGO and I had 2 50c coupons which were doubled so 2 for 99c, savings of $4.99
Pledge Duster Starter Kits were on sale for $3 and I had 8 $3q so they only cost tax!!, savings of just over $34
Friskies Cat food - Had a raincheck for 2/$7 on the 3.15lb bags, combined with BOGO and $1 coupons to get 6 bags for $1.25 each, savings of just over $14

Kroger -
Got in on the last day of last week's sale yesterday and got 2 more BOGO Lloyds BBQ with 2 $1 coupons making them $1.99 each, savings of $8

CVS -
10 bags of snacksize candy (yes 10) - on sale for $2 each, used a $4/$20, 5 $1/2 manu, and $10 ECB paid $1OOP and got $10 ECB back, saved $29.
2 packs of 16ct AA Duracell and 4 Dawn - on sale for $21.94, used $4/$20, $3.50 in manu and $10 ECB, paid $4.92OOP and got $5 ECB back, saved $25

I got some other stuff too like bread, milk, lunchmeat, 5 12pks of Pepsis, etc. I'm currently running at 74% savings for October. Of course I've already spent $48 of my $150 budget so that's the not great news.

Awesome job mrshowdy!

We love Ragu! I would totally stock up if I could get them for 69 cents! Every once in a blue moon I can get them for 75 cents at Meijer, but usually it a buck apiece.

No really great sales to brag about. But that also means I haven't spent much.

I did see that RiteAid has a lot of cold/flu freebies this month, so I think I'm gonna have to transfer a prescription over there to get a giftcard to cover the up-front cost. I love me some freebies!

I made my two brag threads for the month.

I made my budget super low this month to start using some stockpile. I may do it again next month, but I'm not sure yet.

I'll still shop. Just not spend 125 bucks! Only a little bit. If I do it again next month, I'll probably make it half the norm--so around 60 bucks. That gives me a little bit more wiggle room.
