OK... I only have a very small budget this month because I have a huge-o stockpile... however, I am nearly out of paper towels, and I definitely won't make it through the month with what I have. My normal brand is the marvelous Viva towel, but I can't find a great sale on them this week... *sigh*

I'm considering the P&G deal.

Here's how it would work for me:

3 packs of bounty paper towels = 19.47
1 dawn dish liquid to get to $20= .99

total: 20.46.

minus: 4/20 coupon, 5.98 EB's, 3x.25 coupons for the paper towels, and a .50 coupon for the dishsoap, equals OOP of 4.23 plus tax.

Should I? I have never even used bounty--are they a good paper towel? I don't have a clue! I usually get scott or viva (I'm kind of a Kimberly-Clark snob)...

I like Bounty, it's my favorite kind. I get it if I have a choice but we go through so many of them I just get whatever's on sale.

They're good though and that's a great price! ...Darnit now I want to do a bounty deal on my other card. But I'll resist since I don't have any ECBs on it and I already have 3 8pks of Brawny and 1 15pk of Bounty.

I say no. Whenever I buy a brand I've never used before, I always end up regretting it. Buy a giant roll of Scott or Viva to get you by. There could be a sale on one of them before the month is up and then you could take advantage of that.

You crack me up Mandi! I agree though, there is not a whole lot of difference that I've found. I like the bounty because I think they are a little softer than other brands but I'm not die-hard about it.

Bounty is a great product and it works VERY well.

You could also use more cloth though too. That is a good suggestion.

I know though, some people in your home EXPECT to be able to use the paper towels though too... right?

Bounty is good. It is in my kitchen. It is nice and thick and soft.

The cloth suggestion is a great one. I'm another Bounty user. Soft and strong. DH is picky and they're the only ones he likes.

Have you ever tried Viva???? There is NO softer paper towel.

and I think now that I remembered the quarterly EB, I am going to do it... I can get basically a 0-dollar transaction out of throwing in a couple more things...

I would do it but I am not too picky about my paper towels. Although, I would buy Viva everytime if it were not so expensive. I like Bounty, so I say go for it.

That IS funny! I have thought the same thing though. The first time I used them, I thought I was using a Kleenex. I live Viva, but Bounty is definitely my fave.

I got all my VIVA towels when they were on sale for 6.00/8 pack and had the 15 EB for buying 30. Then I used both cards to get that deal, and used the EB's (with mega coupons) to get more of those (and the huggies too ) while they were on sale.

(those were my super huge savings--the day I had five packs of diapers, viva, and some other stuff for only .49!!)

How long ago was that? I don't ever remember seeing Viva with EB otherwise I probably would have bought some...

I bought mine July 16...And I only have two receipts scanned, so I know there are more. There's only one on that particular ticket, so I know I have another. Must have been my first deal, where the OOP was a bit higher so it wasn't as impressive.

Kim - Did you do the deal? I JUST saw that Viva are on the front page of the CVS ad next week. There's some sort of ECB involved, not sure of the prices.

Ugh. I got excited, but then I looked, and it's only a 2.00 EB on a 6.99 sale... that's not all that great of a deal. I still think I'll get my three bounty for an OOP of about 4 bucks. There's a limit one on the VIVA, so I'll probably grab one with the EBs from this week. Not much other stuff I'm interested in rolling the EBs in to.
