One of my grocery stores has Betty Crocker cake mixes on sale this week for .88 a box! I decorate cakes and therefore go through a LOT of cake mixes (I make semi-scratch/semi-boxed cakes lol). I just wish they'd quit putting coupons out for "Save .55 (or $1) on the purchase of a cake mix and frosting" because I never ever buy canned frosting, I make my own so I don't get to use coupons on top of the sale Every once in a great while....they will put them out for just the cakes but not often.

One time, there were .75 cent coupons for cake mixes out and my store had them on sale for .77 a box! I traded for like 80 coupons and STOCKED up!! Now, I'm running out of variety.... so I need to buy more!

Do you have a Target? I get BC cake mixes there for .89 everyday price. You may want to check if you have one. Sometimes they have lower prices at some of the other ones (some higher).

Either way, good price.

Really? That's a pretty big difference! I am convinced that I have the best target in the whole world. Our pampers cases are only 17.49, too. woot.

Isn't it crazy? I was shopping a couple weeks ago and stopped at one Walgreens where the Tylenol PM was $5.29 and then drove down into the next city which is only about 10 minutes away but MUCH bigger and the Tylenol PM there was $4.49. I would have sworn that it should have been more expensive in the bigger town (Louisville) but I guess since that Walgreens is right in front of a Walmart and right across from a CVS, they have to be a little more competitive.

Come to my house this week ... I have two to make! One for my son's birthday and one that I'm making and sending to Chrystal (BensMom) as part of a deal we made There are always lots of scraps to snack on from when I trim/sculpt/etc! Yummm!

One of them that I will be making is a white cake w/ cheesecake flavoring and its to DIE for!

Yeah! Me too! The tops that get cut off to level them out are the BEST part of the whole thing! I put some buttercream on it and roll it up into a cake "roll" and it makes a delicious dessert (after we've finished the cake!).

You don't want cake. Just cookies.

I swear I'm making you some cookies for Christmas.

Yeah, I've been working on the shipping part. Chrystal doesn't care what it looks like when it gets there ...as long as she can still get it on a fork and eat it So, she's my next guinea pig!

I would... you know... in case you ever felt the burning desire to have someone eat your cakes. I won't complain.

HAHAHA .... I'm happy to provide the cake and the decorating to anyone who's willing to be a guinea pig ... all I ask is you cover the shipping I did overnight last time ....so with Chrystals we're going to try priority (see if they are gentler with it when they aren't RUSHING to get it half way across the country ....) with a new style of packaging. If the cake makes it ok .... then it won't even be very expensive for the shipping (like less than $16) and they taste a HECK of a lot better than the cakes you get at most stores (if I do say so myself LMAO)
