woohoo!

Can you save over a hundred %? They'd have to pay you if that's the case... I had that happen once... at Walgreens. Do you have rebates coming for FAR stuff that makes it so you got paid for the week?? That's GREAT!

I was wondering the same thing. Either way, you still did good for only spending $11.

I never really worry about the real world mathematics. I just pay attention to my calculator. I have one entry in my spread sheet where I saved like 700% or something crazy. It doesn't happen often, but it makes me smile when it does.

maybe i added it incorrectly.

i spent 11 and saved 35.32

so dont i add them together and divide by 35.32

thats 46.32/35.32=1.31

or am i totally off base

To find your savings:

savings amount divided by (spent amount+saved amount)

So: 35.32/ 11+35.32=76.2%

We know you aren't dumb.

I never know how to do that either. I'll sit and play with the numbers and keep getting numbers I know aren't right, so then I give up.

I know its only the first week, but I have gotten my step mom on board with things too and so i'm going to be able to do things much more easily from here on out. Before I felt like a burden to go anywhere else besides walmart, but now she says, where do we need to go this week. Its awesome. and i'm helping her too.

woohoo! You've converted her. I still don't have any converts. *sigh* I try, but I just can't get anyone on board. I even made the offer to this lady (that I know is on a mega tight budget).... I CLIPPED all the coupons I knew were things she'd be interested in, got the kellogg's rebate form for her (it was back at the end of aug/beginning of sept), got them in an envelope all nicely sorted (frozen, canned, snacks, etc). She never came to get them when she said she would! I was so upset... never ever again will I offer to give her coupons... she blew that one. Continue to complain about not having enough of a food budget... not my problem. I tried to help you.

Maybe I am just a cold hearted b word.
