It's Friday and you know what that means.... it's time for me to talk about all the delicious food that I could be eating tonight and for you to talk me out of it. By the way, it didn't completely work last week. We got Chinese instead of pizza. And it was deeee-licious!

Teri--you know you don't want to spend the money eating restaurant food when you can MAKE food at home!! Eating out is bad. Making food at a fraction of the cost, good.

How about an all you can eat buffet? Get more bang for your buck! Bring ziploc bags and sneak them in your purse.......

ROFL. You aren't helping, girlfriend! We're trying to talk her out of eating out!

(ps... if you get caught doing the ziploc thing, it's not pretty... )

Bad girl!

I don't like buffet food. I'd rather spend around the same amount of money (buffets are quite pricey here) and get two meals (I eat very little before I'm full) that I really love.

You know what's yummy?

cook some chicken breast strips and onions (just cut them about an inch or so thick and about an inch and a half long) in a little oil, add about 1/4 c milk with a tsp of corn starch in it, some garlic, basil, salt, and any other seasonings you like.... then cook up one of your lipton sides or a pasta roni (the angel hair pasta roni are de-lish with this). Just before it really thickens, throw the chicken in it to finish cooking.

YUM-O. Serve it with something green and you got a cheap, easy meal.

(OH! and in the chicken--parmesean cheese; don't forget that! )

That sounds good! I'll have to try that. I like the picture illustration too. You're like the Martha Stewart of the board. Only without the annoying personality and the prison time.

I was a server who had the ugly job of charging people for doing that.

I can't believe at you can't share with your BABY?! Kids are free here until 3-ish...

Are you out eating Teri?

We go to this pizza place buffet which has tons of stuff besides pizza. The kiddo will end up eating a huge ole plate of fresh fruit-I'm waiting for hte day they start to charge us for him! Right now we can get in and out including tip for $22.

Haha, Dh and I used to sneak food out of the dorm cafeteria. I'd take an apple to go every time. He'd wrap cookies in napkins. They weren't open for breakfast, but had breakfast food out all the time, and he ended up taking the liquid waffle mix in a tupperware container so that he could make waffles in his dorm room with a waffle maker. And he had to set up a fan to blow the smoke away from the smoke detector. Good times.

Now that is inventive!

When I want pizza and don't feel like paying 15 bucks I take the pillsbury pizza dough smoosh it out onto my pizza pan and add all my left overs.

For instance this week we had meatball, mozzarella, and parmesan pizza! YUMMY! Also sesame noodles are really easy to make if you want to save money but feel like your eating chinese food?! Just cook up some angel hair pasta and toss with chicken, green onions, sesame seeds, and sesame oil!

Or you really could just buy duck sauce and dip just about anything in it to "feel like" your eating Chinese food! Oh how I loves me some duck sauce!

Where do you buy duck sauce? I don't think I've ever seen it sold in stores.

When we want chinese food, I take a bag of stir fry veggies, cook them up and then add about 15 different spices and sauces. It took a lot of experimenting and resuts in passable Chinese food, but not the same as restaurant quality. Unfortunately some of the sauces needed to make it tasty are expensive.
