Seriously...when should I tell them? Last time I didn't tell the principal at my school until I was like 4 months along, but I don't think I can avoid it that long this time. basically by telling them I am also telling them I won;t be working any longer than when I'm due. I really can't see how they'd want me bringing 2 kids along with me and honestly, I don't think I want the hassle of getting 2 kids ready in the morning (I typically leave by 7 at the latest-some days as early as 545!). We are putting away $100/wk from what I make now so that will give me a few months where I wouldn't have to work at all after having the baby. Then I plan to find 1 or 2 kids to watch here.

Honestly, you are under no obligation to tell them at all... I don't think you should tell news like that until you're well into the pregnancy and well past the "anything could happen" time. That's just me.

When I was pg when I was working, I did tell them pretty quick, but I was more than just an employee... my boss was my friend. I still love him. He's the best boss I've ever had in my whole life, and now my niece works for him. She's so lucky.

But seriously... it's not something that I'd tell a boss that wasn't my close friend... until well into the pregnancy.

WOW! I missed it too. Congratulations!

I tried to wait until I was at least 3 months along before I told my boss, but I ended up telling her sooner because she noticed the mood change, tighter clothes, etc. We weren't really close friends but I would say that we were friends to an extent.

I would definately wait until the "anything could happen" time passes.

This place is just turning up babies left and right. My word! Then, I go to an MK event tonight, and find out the whole world there is PG as well. Yikes! 3 (and 1/2 for Beth) on here ... 3 there. This is craziness.

I'd hold out quite awhile, Kris. It's none of their beeswax.

I wouldn't tell them until you're ready to share the news!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

When I got pg with Alexis I told my boss fairly early on, but that was because I had a lot of dr appts in the beginning due to previous mc. Another girl that worked in the office had taken a lot of time off and they found out it was because she was interviewing and I did not want them to think that I was doing the same.

Congratulations!!! As for telling your employer that is something you have to do whenever you feel comfortable sharing the news. If you want to keep it to yourself for a while then by all means do it.
