I'm in need of an easy chili recipe. I've never made chili in my life though. Can anyone help me out?

Here's how I make mine

3 cans of Rotel tom. (2 original, 1 extra hot)
1 can tomato sauce
1 can kidney beans
1 can pinto beans
Chili seasoning packet from McCormick
1 lb meat (we use ground beef)

Throw it all into a crock pot and voila!

Mine's easy:

1lb hamburger
2 packs mild chili seasoning
onion if you like it
1/2 can or more of tomato juice
1-2 c water (or less -- depending on how soupy you like it)
1 can chili beans
salt

I always put hotdogs in ours, too.
Eat it with cheese, extra onions, crackers, or Fritos.

shucks... sorry I didn't see this.

Probably a little late...

I have a black bean chili recipe posted in the recipe forum, but if I make a "normal" chili, here's what I do...

brown ground meat with some diced onion (and peppers if you like)
drain, rinse, and return to heat.

Add:

1 can diced tomatoes with juices
1 can chili beans
1 large or 2 small cans tomato sauce
pepper, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and chili powder to your liking.

and if you have any on hand, add a square of bakers chocolate. I know, it sounds super strange, but it's absolutely delicious!! If you don't have that, add just the smallest dash of cinnamon. Either one adds a flavor like you can't even imagine.

Really Kim? Chocolate??? I've never heard of such a thing! Now I'm intrigued...I may try it. If I don't like it, I've already ruined one soup today, so what's another?

I know it sounds strange, but I made it like that just a couple weeks back, and my kids LOVED it! It isn't a powerful chocolate flavor... it's the most yummy chili I ever made, though...

I stumbled upon the cinnamon trick, but I read the chocolate one.

I love love love chili. Not that you need another one, but here's mine ... it feeds an army.

1 lb ground beef, browned, drained, rinsed.
1 onion, diced.
2 cans diced tomatoes
2 cans drained black beans
1 can whole kernel corn
1 large can tomato juice
giant dashes of Emeril's original essence, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, paprika
tiniest pit of brown sugar (takes part of the acid out of the tomatoes)

YUM!

My ex MIL made a mean chili, but it was a little different... she did the ground meat, chili beans, tomato sauce, and she seasoned it with cloves. It was really yummy with cheese in it.
