We were buying 4 hungry man dinners on sale for $2 each and 12 del monte veggies. After coupons my total can to $13.67. DH even asked me if that we right but I was not paying enough attention (Issac was being very annoying) and I thought it was for some reason. 3 of the 4 rang up at the regular price of $3.79 and only took off 30c not the $1.79 it was suppose to. Am I able to return these?

You don't have to return them; just take your receipt in and make them refund the difference. If it were Publix, you'd get one completely refunded (FREE) and the others would be adjusted. At the very least, though, they should give you your 1.79 each for the over-ring.

If you were in Michigan ... they would owe you five times the difference up to $5 on each mis-ring. Ahhhh, the glory of the MI Scanner Accuracy Law. Mmmmmm, beautiful.

I'd possibly call first and verify that all of the Hungry Man dinner were on sale...I know I've been roped in thinking they were all on sale and then when I doubled checked the shelf only certain ones were.

I'd also ask for a giftcard or something to make up for you having to drive back there to have them fix it.

I am indeed absolutely serious, m'dear. I watch the scanner like a hawk when I'm checking out and then I double check my receipt afterward. If something is wrong, off to the service desk to get my money back I go. It also works on the difference between sticker price and scanned price. If the tag says $1, and it rings up $2, I will not only get it for $1 but they will also give me $5 extra for my trouble (5x $1 difference up to $5). And, the law also says everything (with small, small exceptions) must have a price tag ... so you can imagine how frequently this happens at a place like Meijer with HUGE amounts of stuff in it.

That sounds awesome Mandi! How much do you usually make off that! I'd imagine there's a lot of differences....hmmm, maybe I should plan a trip to visit!

Meijer has a whole team of people dedicated to making sure everything is priced correctly, so I wouldn't so much think I'm making millions or anything. It's just a nice added bonus when stuff gets screwed up.
