I sure can work the thrift store, LOL! "Blue Tag" day and I got: two pairs women's jeans, six pairs boys' jeans, three pairs kids' overalls, five pairs of slipper socks, two sets of boys' thermal underwear (tops and pants), fleece "sack" for the baby, and five kid's books for under fifteen bucks!

I love St. Vincent's! LOL!

Great job!

I've yet been able to make myself go to a thrift store.

You're missing out, Kris. Thrift stores are THE BEST! Thrifting flows perfectly with my good stewardship philosophy ... why waste the 'used' when it's totally still fine?

I just found a new (to me) thrift store. The prices are even cheaper than the Salvation Army on 50% off days!

Don't be put off by used clothes. A lot of the stuff is barely used. Some things even have the tags still attached - never been warn.

This is totally true. And, by shopping at St. Vinny's, I'm helping support their food pantry and other social service programs! We donate our good used items to them, too. (Most thrift stores are run by organizations that use proceeds for similar programs.)
