I think I hit a personal best on groceries last night.

1 lemon
1 tomato
1 pack hamburger buns
1 container honey
2 baking chips BOGO
2 Cheerios snack mix BOGO
2 packs shredded Cheddar
3 boxes of tissue
1 can of olives
2 containers of sour cream
2 cans tomato soup
2 jars of salsa BOGO
1 tub of pulled pork
1 pack chicken breasts
2 boxes of Nutripals
2 frozen ravioli bags BOGO
1 jar chili beans
1 jar grated parmesan
2 bottles of syrup
3 boxes of Quaker breakfast cookies
3 boxes of Quaker breakfast bars
2 boxes of Quaker breakfast bits

Total = $76.25

After my coupons = $61.26

Total in preferred savings, mfg coupons and store coupons = $40.83

So my total would have been $102.09. That's a 60% savings, right? 61.26/102.09 = 60

Your savings is actually: What you saved/what you spent+saved

So 40.83/ (61.26+40.83

40%, which I think is great for groceries! The best way to boost your savings on groceries is to by when things are BOGO.

Awww. I was so excited when I thought it was 60%. Oh, well, 40% isn't too bad.
