I think I'm still not "getting" something that everyone else seems to have picked up on already. The Oasis deal at CVS--when is it worth it to do this? It seems to me that since Oasis is a product that I never even knew existed, I won't likely use it. Do I use up any soon to expire EBs just to roll them and get more EBs? Is that kind of the point when there's a good deal on something even if I won't use it?
Yes...use up EB's that are about to expire. Also there are some $1.50 printable coupons. So if you use the coupon you are paying $5.99-1.50=4.49 and getting 5.99 back in EBs. Also they are good fillers to add to your orders so you can use a $2/10, 4/20, 5/15, etc coupon.
Say you get 2 Oasis
5.99 + 5.99 = 11.98 - 1.50 printable - 1.50 printable - $2 off $10 purchase = $6.98 and you are getting back $11.98 in EBs so you are making money on the deal.
Yep, just what Renee said. It's a great way to actually increase your EB's plus use the ones that are expiring and basically extend the expiration dates. By using manuf. coupons and/or $/$ coupons, you can actually make money on the deal instead of just breaking even with the EB's you earn from them. For example, I bought 5 of the Oasis at once and used a 4/20, coupons, and a $20 EB to make my OOP very little--probably around $1 or so. But then I got back $29.95 in EB's. So you can consider that to be a profit of almost ten dollars. Then you just give the stuff away that you don't want.
I see. It also seems like a lot of people have the 4/20. Where do they get them? I've seen 2/10 and the 3/15 Michelle B. posted, but not a 4/20.
And the 1.50 printable--could someone tell me where to get that? Sorry for being a PITA. These things were probably already discussed in the Oasis thread, but I didn't pay any attention to it thinking, why would I need Oasis?
Thanks a lot. I'll get the hang of it eventually.
I don't know where the $1.50 printable is since I can't print anything. It's probably somewhere on the HCW coupon generator. There's a CVS printables thread on HCW too, I'm pretty sure. I always get my $/$ coupons from the CRT's. They've been printing out pretty regularly for me lately. Does your store have one of those card scanner/price checking machines? I always scan my card(s) just to see what it spits out. I got two 5/20's last time.
You're not being a PITA at all. Everyone has to learn before they become a pro. I love all CVS-related threads anyway.
