Okay, I wanted to do a post and list the stores I have by me...and I wanted to have your experienced mommie's give me a heads about about what each store is good for, what stores have the most savings, really anything that has to do with saving me $$.
CVS- is being built right now, so that is to come.
Target is AWESOME for coupon usage. They let you combine their printables with the manufacturer (manu) coupons! Right now they have great coupons for huggies stuff. I am getting mega ultra cheap and even free wipes and wash!! join hotcouponworld or afullcup to get the generators and print that 3.00/2 coupon, add your manu coupons to it, and you're in the money! They have other good printables right now, too, but that's the best one.
looks like they have a fair amount of BOGO deals...a lot of their other stuff looks pretty high priced, but that's where you have to remember to go in and grab the loss leaders (BOGOS and cheapies) and get out. Don't buy ANYTHING that's overpriced.
They'll have decent BOGO sales, also... and some pretty good meat sales. And they rock the 10/10's. sometimes you can get toilet paper on 10/10, and often it's when they have 1.00 coupons out!! FREE TP! woot. I noticed the back of the ad has a buy one get two free dynamo detergent--some of the girls on here swear by that detergent!! They also run specials often like, "buy ___ of this, save $$ now!" deals...
The philly price is GREAT! Cokes 5/10 is the cheapest of the three stores. Good price! AND DOUBLE COUPONS!!!!! up to .99!!! woot! That's your place to do most of your shopping. They have several half off's which are essentially BOGO deals, they have a few BOGOs, and with the double coupons, you can clean up at that store. Really!!
You're lucky. You can shop loss leaders at each store, add coupons, and you'll be saving in no time.
What I see in those ads will beat just about anything you can get at WM.
The drugstores are higher prices, but usually run good sales. If you can get the rebates rolling, some RR and EB rolling, stuff like that, then you can save a bundle there, too.
You can get great deals at Safeway, just don't buy any of their regular priced stuff while you're there. Also, keep in mind, that many of their "sales" are still higher priced than other grocery stores. BUT, when they have a fantastic deal, they have a fantastic deal!
RiteAid has fabulous rebates, which they call single check rebates (SCR). The rebate booklet is located at the front of the store next to the weekly ads. You buy the rebate stuff with out of pocket money, then when you get home, you type your receipt into their single check rebate system. It will update in a few days to show your qualifying items (so that you can make sure you purchased the right items, and return anything that is incorrect) At the end of the month, you request your check and they mail all of the rebates to you on a single check. You can only request 1 check per month, hence why it's called the single check rebate.
This month (not much time left) they also have a gift of savings promotion, where you type in every receipt into their gift of savings database and if you spend over $20 you get $5, if you spend over $50 you get $10, and if you spend over $100 you get $20.
This week at RiteAid, you can get Electrasol tabs for 0.25 for 1 box because they are on sale for $2.99, have a $2.00 SCR, and use a coupon from the newspaper for 0.75. Awesome deal!
You can also get Buckley's cold medicine free after rebate (FAR).
Duracell AA batteries are on sale $8.99 for a 16-pack with in-ad coupon. There is also an SCR for $8 when you buy (wyb) $20 worth of duracell. Here is what I did:
$17.98 (used 2 in-ad coupons) 2 16-packs AA batteries
$5.29 (used in-ad coupon) 1 8-pack AA batteries
-$2.25 used 3 mfr coupons for $0.75 each (1 coupon for each pack of batteries)
-$8.00 SCR for spending $20 -$5.00 Gift of savings for spending over $20
$8.02 for 40 AA batteries after rebates.
Those are the deals that I did this week at RiteAid. They have different rebates each week and you can get a ton of free & cheap stuff.
Walgreens has fab deals a lot of the time too. They also have a rebate program called the Easysaver catalog. It is located in the front of the store next to the weekly ads. Their easysaver rebates last all month. It's very similar to the RiteAid rebates in that you pay up front and then get 1 check at the end of the month. The main difference is that you have to keep all of your receipts, fill out the form in the easysaver, and mail it all in together at the end of the month. The bonus that WAG has though, is that if you choose to get a WAG giftcard instead of a check to cash, then they'll give you an extra 10%. So, if your rebate total is $30.00, they'll give you $33.00 if you choose the giftcard option. There weren't really any good deals at WAG this week, but there are some freebies that you can get in on before the month ends.
You can get Jane "be pure" mineral cosmetics (which I love!) for FAR (free after rebate) + if you have the $2.00 coupon that was in the paper a few weeks back, then you get paid $2.00 to buy it!!!!
Pert Plus (on clearance for $1.99) will get you a $2.50 rebate. Use the $1.00 coupon that was in the paper last week, and get paid $1.51 for buying it.
Keri skin renewal (don't know if it's still on sale) was on sale for $14.99. It has a $10 ES (easysaver) rebate, and a $5.00 coupon from a few weeks back, making it free. Love that stuff too.
