As great as this news is, can I just say that I cannot even find words for how absolutely gross I imagine mucus plugs to be?

Yay! It's gross out Mandi time!

Mucus plugs are supposed to look like a big ball of snot. Mine didn't though. Mine looked like a piece of hard dark red finger jello. And I fished it out of the toilet to poke at it. It was squishy.

Mandi, did I make you throw up in your mouth just a little bit?

Teri-that may be one of the grossest things I have ever heard!

My plug (just like my water) magically disappeared without me knowing when!

Are you freaking kidding me?!

The part of my plug that I lost at home was NOTHING compared to when the whole thing came out during labor. It was a ball of snot about the size of my fist, if not bigger... and I have big hands!

EWWWW!!! NO-I am not kidding! No clue where it went or when it went!!!! Since my water had already broken, the kiddo had decided to relieve himself and the ningest it...ended up having to spend 10 hours or so in the NICU...but later on in life we'll be able to tell him he's been full of $hit since day 1!!

I am not easily grossed out. And yet. All your stories of mucus plugs are so gross.

I never noticed mine with Issac, I also do not remember my water breaking. I saw my plug with Carly. It was not nearly the size of my fist, but still big. My water broke before I went to the hospital with Carly, just a small amount. The rest cam pouring out as she was being born.

No doubt.

My stomach feels a bit icky right now so I think that's why. I need to eat something but now I have visions of mucus plugs in my head.

I lost my mucus plug with Anthony, but didn't (that I noticed) with Anastasia. Both times my water broke at the last minute. As in, it broke and they crowned.
