So at the first CVS I go to, they are completely out of Energizer batteries.

I drive across town to the next CVS--score! Plenty of Energizer batteries. I grab some bread and Trident to hit $10 and go to the register.
The $2/$10 won't scan. He tries typing it in. He says it's coming off for $100 off. He says it's a fake. My $5 off batteries is also a fake.

So I leave with nothing but my bread. I've used the $2/$10 before and told him that, he said I shouldn't have been able to. What an #####!

I'm sorry that happened! I know the normal 3 CVS stores I have hit up for batteries were getting pretty low...another reason why I decided not to go....I was afraid I would drive there and there wouldn't be any anyways!

Was it the 2/10 from the coupon tip thread? Sonja got that one in en email directly from CVS (at least I'm pretty sure she did!). I would have asked to speak to a manager! It sounds to me like they just didn't want to do it!

I think you should call CS. I would've been livid if I'd been accused of using fake coupons. Funny how the same coupons worked just fine for everyone else. In fact, a woman and her son ahead of me both used a battery one just the other night. It does sound like they just didn't want to do it. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. I'd boycott them for sure.

But it's hard to boycott a place with good deals. I'm call and talk to the manager of that store!

But she only has to boycott the one store. She has another that's closer than the problem one. And my boycotts don't last that long anyway.

That's a huge bummer. I'd call for sure. Or email corporate, which just gets sent to the store manager anyway. Then they have more of a catalyst to answer you.

I would definately call CS. Cause if you used that $2/10 that I posted, that was an email directly from CVS that I got. That is complete BS.

I wrote a letter and sent it to corporate. Let's see if anything comes from it. Stupid manager!

The batteries ones came directly from an Email from CVS also! And the 2/10 was sent to me as well... I hope they compensate you nicely, since you lost out on using your 5.00 off coupon since it EXPIRED!
