I got a hippopotamus. No kidding.

I always jokingly sing that "I Want a Hippopatamus For Xmas" song, and include 1 Live Hippopatamus on my mandatory presents days list every year. This year, my mother 'adopted' a hippo from the World Wildlife Fund in my name. Hoooooray hippos!!

(I'm such a nerd. )

I guess I'd have to say my kitchen aid blender. Or maybe my kitchen aid pasta roller attachment... yikes! I'm not sure.

I would have to say all of the out to eat gift certificates I got. I was starting to go into withdraw just thinking about how my new budget would not allow us eating out so much . We ended up with 5 certificates .

I also bought myself a gift. $250 in Meijer gift cards for $225. They were running a special $5 off each $50 gift card It was a total win for me since I do most of my grocery shopping there.

Well I guess my only present would be my favorite. My grandma gave me $500. Atleast it was a good present though. LOL

My most wanted gift was a new electric hedge trimmer. I'm so excited to go out and shape all of my shrubs!!!

I also got new laundry baskets that I really really needed, so YAY for that!

BUT, the sweetest gift was from my Zack. He's 4 for those that don't know and dh took him down to hell and walked him down all the aisles and let him pick out a gift for mommy. Dh said that Zack put a lot of thought into it and he picked me out a beautiful Black Cherry jar candle that I love love love. It means the world to me that he picked it out all by himself.

He also let Ethan pick out a present for me, which was a candlestick candle (you know the long skinny ones, I can't remember the proper name for them). Well, he was all excited when I opened it. And then, he wanted me to take off the wrapper. I didn't understand why, but no biggie, I took the wrapper off of the candle. Ethan grabbed it from me and tried to eat it. He thought that it was a big candy lollypop. LMAO.

I like the out to eat GC too, I was excited about those! I think my VERY favorite is from my hubby though. He had one of our wedding pics woven into a BEAUTIFUL blanket. It's not like the kind you can order from Walmart where they just screenprint it on there, The picture is actually woven from different colored threads. I LOVE it....I cried.

Well, even though we haven't opened gifts with my mom and sisters yet, I'm pretty sure my best gift will be the laptop. I'm sure it will get the most use!

My dad gave us money to buy a new digital camera. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!! It is a Canon Powershot A720...8 mega pixels, 6x optical zoom. It takes GREAT pictures. Our previous camera was a Fujifilm 3 mega pixels with 2x zoom that we got over 6 years ago when I was preg with Alexis. We have wanted a new camera for quite some time but just couldn't find the money in the budget. We are trying to pay off all our credit cards so we only use cash and the ATM card when a credit card is required.
