I've never made one. Looks yummy, though. I'm the only one in my family that likes pumpkin, so I'd have to eat it all alone...

what to do, what to do...

I've never done a pumpkin roll, but I have done bouche noel (which is a french yule log rolled layer cake) and it isn't soooooooo awfully hard. Don't try to roll it cold, though. It'll break for sure.

Looks like I'm the only one here.... I do make them, every Thanksgiving and Christmas. They are actually not too hard to make. I wouldn't say my favorite thing to do, but everyone loves them!! The hardest part is getting the pumpkin out of the pan and putting it on the towel without it ripping. I'd say the worst part is how long it takes to make it - usually about 3 hours total to make 2 of them. Let me know if you need any tips.

My sis got me into making these now. Not hard at all. That actually looks like the same recipe. The waxed paper works wonders in the pan, especially if you spray cooking spray on it before pouring the cake into it.
I would suggest that you put more powdered sugar on the towel than they say and make sure you roll it tight while warm. The only problem I cam across this year was that the cake broke as I put the filling in but I let it cool completely. I think if it is slightly warm when you put the filling in then it will work out perfectly.

Oooh, I just realized I still have one from Christmas Mmmm.
