After scoring some travel wipes at my last Target trip today, morbid curiousity got the best of me when I got home so I decided to count up exactly how many total wipes I already have.....

2,718!!

I looked up average wipe usage and that's enough for the first 6-8 months at least.

Hmmm, maybe I should hold off on getting anymore until the baby is conceived and here.

Dang, woman! I think you sure have enough for now. I didn't buy alot of wipes before Alisha was born. I didn't know if they'd stay moist for a very long period of time. May your wipes be cheap and always moist.

Oh I knew they did or I wouldn't have gotten them. As long as they don't get exposed to air they are fine. They just take up a lot of space, lol.

I've found that the Kandoo wipes don't stay very moist in the plastic container. I usually just run it quickly under the water and it works fine, but I think the wipes in the sealed containers should stay for a decent amount of time.

I won't tell you .

If you want the wipes I got, you can have them .

I was mainly getting them for the overage. Which wasn't THAT great actually. They are $1.27 each so there was 0.46 overage on every two. I was wanting to get another little 0-3M Xmas outfit but didn't want to spend money on it since I just got one yesterday. I used the huggies overage combined with some post-it note overage to pay for it.

Dangit. We even went there after we got Issac. We did find the Christmas light that we were wanting. I could not find any of the travel size ones there. Where did you find them?

Nothing wrong with tons of free wipes. We have a house full of grown ups, and though none of them will confess to it, they use wet wipes themselves. I buy them and they disappear like magic, so ... just remember there are other options than the babes. Heck, you could spray them with a little clorox and have cleaning wipes if you so chose to.

I must go to Target tomorrow ... but first, it must stop snowing.

Lil hint to keeping wipes moist over a long period of time...flip them. Keep them top side up for a bit...then whenver you think of it..every month or so...flip them over!! I used to work where we did personal care on adults and bought wipes in bulk...literally...skid loads of them and they would only last six months cause we went thru them. But if you flip them..the moisture will maintain all off them and they will stay moist for ya on top and bottom!! Cause we were finding that towards the middle/end of getting the wipes the top part of them were drying out even though they were sealed so we started flipping them when we stored them and would flip them back every so often and it worked!!!

I guess, because I frequently move them around and they end up getting flipped every which way that's why I've never had a problem. I know we had some left over from my niece that we used on my nephew when he was born which was like a year after she was potty trained.

I love finding good deals on wipes. I had 10 or 12 boxes of wipes before Alex was born. And I had probably 15 boxes of diapers. I watched for sales and used coupons to get them. I figured they would keep.

I'm on my last box of wipes now that I bought before Alex was born. That's crazy!

Oh yeah I have a TON of diapers both disposable and cloth. My baby's bum will be set to go! (Heck he/she will be set on most everything.) I still have another yard sale summer to go through before the baby gets here so there's potential to get even more clothes and gear. I'm hoping that this summer I'll know the gender for most of it so that I'll be able to get some more gender specific stuff since last summer I mainly got yellows and greens.
