I still had a GC from 2 years ago... then I got one from my sister, one from my aunt and one from DH this year.

This will last me about 5 years now!

I have a LOT of stuff already and I don't really have any more room in my cupboards... so I will just hold onto them until I come closer to running out. I have enough bath products, that it isn't funny. I used to BUY them, I have sworn though to never pay for it again, unless it is something VERY VERY VERY special.

You could always try to sell them on Ebay. You would technicaly lose a little, but if you don't think you'd use them for quite some time, then it may just be nicer to have some cash now.

I use those to stock up on hand sanitizer, I like how it moisturizes. And hand soap.

I only buy their hand soap ... like the kitchen kinds. That's my one splurge ever. I have an inventory full of all the skin or bath care I would ever need. I wouldn't be a very good salesperson if I ran around using someone else's line.

You probably want to use the one from a couple years ago now. You are most likely losing value on it. Typically after the first 12 months of issuance a gift card's value is reduced by $1 a month until you either use it or they've taken it all back. And once they reduce it you can't get your money back.

I like the soaps too. I will hold onto them until some of our handsoap runs out. Turning them into cash is an idea, but we really have enough of that, so I will just wait. Then, I won't feel bad spending money buying expensive hand soaps at bath and body works.

I know what you mean ... I have a $75 g/c that I got for Christmas and I was all set to check out ... but there weren't any free shipping deals at the moment and I refuse to spend some of the g/c on shipping when I'm spending that much

The other thing that you can do is use the GC's now while the sale is on and save for gifts through out the year...Birthday's, anniversary's, weddings, Christmas next year. That way the merchandise would be less expensive and you would have a stock pile of gifts!!!

How could you turn them into cash? I don't think that's possible.

What I was meaning was, say your GC that is 2 years old was $25. It probably only has $13 left on it even if you haven't used it because after the first year they take away $1 a month (sometimes more).

I haven't lost any on it, I used some of it recently. I noticed I have a buy 30, save 10.00... I think I might have two of those... so it looks like I actually will be using some of them. I absolutely LOVE honeysuckle.
