So I went to Publix to use the 5/40 CRT from WD that Kim sent me. I didn't figure out exactly what I going to buy first. I bought a few things at WM first so I just had a vague list to go by at Publix. I checked out and the total was $50 which seemed a bit high but I didn't pay much attention. Until I looked at the receipt in the car and realized that not only did the $5 not come off, it had been added on! And I was like, "Oh, hell no!!" And made DH drive back so I could get it fixed. That wasn't a problem and I walked out with my $10 and a smile. But how weird is that?
I'm feeling liberated after my very restricted spending month of December. I've been throwing caution to the wind lately. I ended up with:
cat food--$10 (which doesn't come out of grocery money)
6 cans of Progresso-- $7.50 (sale)
Publix small shells pasta--$.89
Mount Olive pickle chips--$2.19
Pimento cheese--$2.19 (DH just had to have it)
2 Nutrigrain bars-$3.39 (BOGO)
2 Kraft mayo--$3.39 (BOGO)
package of pickling cucumbers --$2.28
string cheese--$3.00 (sale)
2 packages grape tomatoes--$4.00 (sale)
piece of Publix cake--$1.99 (my downfall)
I only used the 5/40 and then $1.90 in manuf. coupons for an actual grocery money total of $30.65 and savings of $22.49
