Ugh I'm so sick already. I feel like complete *****. I feel so bad for Jake because I'm basically just laying on the couch all day. He doesn't seem to mind but still. How did you handle it? Did you just lay around and ride it out? I really hope I don't have my whole pregnancy again.

I tried to ignore it when I could (it's getting much better now). I told Liam that Mommy had a tummyache and just left it at that. If Liam saw me puking, he would ask if I had a tummyache. I felt weird about associating the baby with something that made me feel bad.
On the really bad days, I tried to make them "fun" from the couch. We'd call it a Jammie Day and play with our toys and stuff on the couch, have lunch on the couch, etc.

If you know it's going to be bad and it already is, is there anything you can take to make it bearable?

Luckily Kaija didn't 'get' why I was sick and after one run to the bathroom I was usually okay. But I did just try to ride it out. It sucks. hugs!

I did the same thing with just using TV, fresh air and frozen meals. I rode it out, but you might want to talk to your doc about it if you have it the whole pregnancy! Hugs, I know it really sucks to feel bad!

Thanks girls. I've been doing pretty much everything you guys have said. I guess I just feel bad for Jake.
Cyndee, yes there are meds I can take. In Canada its called Diclectin. I will have my dr prescribe me some when I go to my appt on sept 2. Until then I just have to suck it up. I CAN DO THIS!!! lol.

I don't know how you ladies can 'suck it up' and still work and care for a toddler. My antibiotics after my MC made me so sick, and I could suck it up - puke and walk out the door 5 mins later, but it was miserable and it went away... all day long I'd be a total baby.
I hope the meds help. It's so early for M/S

I know!! With Jake it was the same thing. I was puking my guts out at 5 weeks. I must just be really sensitive to the hcg. Oh well, at least I'm preggo!! That's the only thing that's getting me through lol.

Until then, you could try Papaya enzymes, sea bands, sour candy, and B6 is it? Carbs are good too.

I didn't have it all day. I could throw up and then feel fine the rest of the day. It was just getting to that point. B6 is said to help with nausea but for me it just made it worse. It's worth a try though!

I was horribly sick the whole 9 mos. Basically my kids were used me throwing up so much it didn't phase them Thomas would even bring me water..
I kept a travel sized tooth brush and tube of tooth paste in my purse and apron at work.
I don't think I would have made it w.o Tom. Him being laid off, was a blessing in disguise. Most days I took 1-2, 2-3 hr naps a day.
And when up and home, I stayed mostly on the couch, or taking the kids for walks.

Hmmm I've never heard of papaya tablets. I'm going to grab some tomorrow. Thanks! If they work perhaps I could skip the meds all together. I don't mind being a little queezy, I just hate being on the verge of vomiting all the time. It makes life hard.

I had one girl and 11 weeks of another baby and no morning sickness. M/S is not related to gender, I am convinced. Every pregnancy is different. I hope it eases up on you fast! there is nothing more miserable than feeling sick.

Oh I know Cynd I just find it funny that my boys I was fine, bailey I was sick.
My cousin: daughter-super sick, son-fine
my SIL: daughter-m/s in the 1st tri, son- no ms.
Of course, I know it's not the same and it's all old wives tales. But they are fun to guess with.
