So I caved and went to Walmart today to pick up a test. Totally a BFN. I'm cd25 today. Before Abri, I used to average 27 days in a cycle. I've only had AF once so who knows what my cycles will be like now. If I still don't have AF by the weekend, I'll test again
8.5 months without AF was a bit odd. I definitely don't feel like AF is coming quite yet. It was a bit painful to breastfeed a few days before and a few days into it, but that hasn't happened yet. Really hoping it continues to be BFN for quite some time
I tested again yesterday since that was the day AF should have showed up. Still BFN and still no sign of AF. I think I'll test again next Friday if nothing changes. Otherwise I'm just going to assume that my cycles haven't regulated yet. Frustrating.
It is frustrating. Are you still BF Courtney? It took mine 6 months to come back after BF and that's only because I was diagnosed and finally treated for autoimmune thyroid disease
Yeah, my first cycle after Walter was like 45 days long. And then I got pregnant the next cycle where I timed it by CM, so it bounced back to normal quickly. But that was at 15 months PP. This time, I am going to assume it was a fluke and AF will continue to be MIA for a long time. I wouldn't expect anything to be regular for you either, considering you and I seem to have similar sleepers as children... it's the night time nursing that keeps AF away.
Cyndee- yeah I'm still nursing. I got AF back 6 months PP after Lily and that was a month after I stopped nursing. My first one this time was at 8.5 months PP.
Kristen- the night nursing makes sense. It's still minimum twice at night and still almost every 2 hours during the day. I feel like I nurse my 9 month old more than most nurse their newborns!
How come I didn't get so lucky!? Kolbie is still up 2-5 times a night and nurses all day and AF came back at 7 months and has been regular ever since! Every month on the 26th oddly enough...
Katherine is still up nursing 3 to 5 times a night and my cycle came back at 5 months pp. It went regular right off the bat. I ended up getting an IUD in Sept.
