IN and outside when they want?

I can't, Hunter is declawed. And don't trust the neighbors to let him run loose.

My cat is an inside cat most of the time. About 7 years ago, he was mainly an outside cat before I got married.

Just in the past year, he likes to go out when it gets dark and stays out about 2 hours....

Mine are inside and outside. I do worry about them b/c I have a neighbor across the street that is a known catnapper. I think that is what happened to my last one.

Mine are both inside cats.
I want them to have the longest healthiest safest life possible. I wouldn't put my dog out unattended (or my kids lol), I'm not going to put my cat out unattended.
Besides, I don't think my neighbors would appreciate them using their gardens as litterboxes

i dont have a cat anymore but i use to and he was always inside the house. except when he would run out without us knowing, but we always got him right back in. anyway, my neighbor across the street has like a zoo of cats and she lets them outside alllllll the time. well the quote above is what those cats do, plus they were at one time getting into twinsmoms trash. the same lady also has a dog that is OH SO PERFECT! she is a pure bred and is well trained...yeah ok! that is why the dog wonders around the neighborhood sh&tting in our yards. one day she was outside gardening and her dog came over to my yard (she saw her) and took a dookie-watched the dog do this. didnt come over to clean it up or even say sorry!! i was going to call her b/c i was over at twinsmom house but her number wasnt in the phone book. i just think it is rude.

Our cats are not allowed outside. They are fixed & one is declawed. We might have the other 2 declawed too!.

I have 2 cats and they are indoor only. However, I just bought an outside kitty gym that has hammocks and some room for them to move. I let them out in it when the weather is nice and they can lay in the sun or chase bugs. They really enjoy it and they will sit by the gate and meow when they are ready to come back in. I put a squirrel and bird feeder in nearby trees for them. THEY LOVE IT and so do I because I know they are safe.

Inside kitties, here. I have seen too many run over by cars I do not want that to happen to mine, I'd be heart broken.
