You don't have to be a rabbit owner to participate in this thread, I am looking for opinions and input.

The news included a small clip last night of the Danish rabbit hopping championship games...
What is rabbit hopping? It's just agility, like you would see with dogs, but with rabbits.

Here's the link to what was on the news:
YouTube - Danish Championships 2010 in Rabbit Hopping

Although I had planned to step down from the hobby of rabbit showing - similar to AKC dog shows and CFA cat shows, they are judged on conformation - I never sold out of my herd completely. While I am still involved in showing, I think it could be a lot of fun for me and my rabbits to get involved in something like this... I'm even tossing around the idea of starting a rabbit agility club in my area, as I know there are a lot of rabbit owners out here.

Do you think this would be a hit, or a waste of time? My husband is going to look into making my jumps and agility set ups, and I'm going to purchase a couple harnesses and begin teaching my rabbits to walk on them.

Haha OMG that's crazy (but in a good way). If bunnies are what you're into I think that a club like that could go a LONG way for sure...especially in Cali given that it's a large population area. If you have the time for it and the ability to do it, I think it could totally be worth it!

Let us know how it goes if you decide to get something like that started up!
