Well over the holidays my sweet little pooches certainly made some fun memories for us. We took them with us on our travels. They did very well in the car (only about an hour and a half each time we were in the car). We took them to my mom and step-dad's house. I was a little nervous about introducing them to my mom's blue heeler. He's never been around other dogs and from what I've heard/read that breed isn't very good with other dogs. Well....we let them all outside together (my step-dad has a HUGE backyard) and my mom and I were doing dishes. All the sudden I see Jake streaking across the yard. His ears were tucked back and he was movin as fast as he could. He ran so hard he was foaming at the mouth. And behind him....Lola....35 pound, 7 month Lola. He was scared of her... While it was slightly entertaining, we decided their contact should be limited so we kept them all separated for the rest of our stay.
On Christmas day, as we were leaving, I was getting the dogs all ready to go. Seamus got away from me and into the house. He walked right up to my 2 and 4 year old nephews and flopped over on his back. His face just said "Peeeeeet meeeeeee!" and they did. So cute. Lola is not so keen on little kids so she stayed back with me. Which makes me a little nervous for when I have my own kids, but she does seem to warm up to people one at a time, just not all at once, so I will cross that bridge when I come to it.
On New Year's Eve, Seamus was on their little bed chewing on a bone and all the sudden Lola sprang on him. All four feet were tucked close to her body, and she looked like a rabbit. If she had a cartoon bubble above her head it would have said *POUNCE*. Sooo cute. Just thought I'd share. Anyone else have any funny stories?
When my Riley was a pup, well, like 10 months old, I took him to Thanksgiving at my cousins house. We were all eating dinner and we turn around and Riley took the ENTIRE turkey........... oh was I in trouble lol.
He used to love to take my bras and underwear (nothing else) and lay them across the front lawn for all the neighbors to see. I remember seeing kids on the schoolbus pointing and laughing lol.
The little brat is 6 now and STILL a trouble maker.
Thank you jaidynsmum for my siggy!
