Hi everyone! My fella and I are hoping to adopt a well trained adult dog from a reputable rescue that I used to foster for next month, and although I have confidence that if we choose a gentle, well behaved dog with kid experience we will be juuust fine when the baby comes next January, but he isn't so sure! He had a bad experience with a large aggressive dog when he was a kid, and that's making him worry quite a bit. So I would LOVE to see some cute pictures of your two-legged kids hanging out with your four-legged kids!

(Bonus points for those of you who have Border Collies or Border Collie mixes - there's one particular dog I'm really hoping will be a good fit for us who is a Border Collie/Boston Terrier mix, and we get to meet her next week. Her foster home says she's really gentle with their toddler, and very calm and well behaved, which I think is pretty amazing for an 8 month old herding breed pup. And she's sturdy without being giant, which is a plus.)

This is our Great Dane with my 6 yo. We got Dottie as a 1 yo who had been around 3 kids under the age of 5. The only danger she has is her tail sometimes gets us but otherwise she is very patient and light on her feet. The kids can be all over her and she just sits there letting them pet and kiss her. I hope you found a dog that fits your family and will be a great addition.

This was the first time Jasmine was in the room while Nicholas had belly time. She came running over and laid right next to him. Every time he moved she adjusted herself to make sure she was nice and close to keep an eye lol.

For some reason I dont have pics of my 3rd dog with the baby, but he is great with him also.
