Tomorrow, hubby and I are driving the 7 hours to pick up a Dachshund/Min Pin. She's about 2 years old and her only owner has recently passed away. This pup, who's name is Susie, is in distress. She's having accidents in the house, has become afraid of a lot of people (not vicious, but fearful), she's very depressed and stressed.

My mom passed away on April 6th, she was just 50 years old.
Susie and I have something in common. Though I'm not having accidents in the house, my anxiety level having to live without my best friend has skyrocketed and like her, I don't care to see many people right now either.

I'm hoping we can help each other.
Do you have any suggestions helping a pup like this feel safe and comfortable in our home?
