If you have a long haired cat, how do they react to being groomed? Do they enjoy the brushing?
Put up a fight? How often do you groom them out?

He is medium to long hair and he grooms himself. Never had to groom him, he's never been matted and he's indoors, so him grooming himself is sufficient.

Our DSH & Ragdolls mostly do self-grooming, but I do run a slicker over them once a week just to get the dead hair off of them... They don't seem to mind too much... Our new kitty has a long, long coat and very much resembles a Maine Coon (the shelter said he was a DLH, but I wonder if he isn't pure), so he has to be groomed on a regular basis. Fortunately, he does enjoy being brushed out, and will even flop onto his back and expose his belly so I can focus on his stomach and around his neck and legs.
