I'm at my wits end!

Parker has reflux and the WORST gas you can imagine. If he's not arching his back and spitting up, he's tooting and screaming about it.
For the past week or so (maybe longer but less often) he's added a new horrible thing to the list- fighting the bottle.
He's always had latch issues, but now he'll latch on, suck for a few seconds and then scream bloody murder. Rinse repeat. It makes bottle time nearly impossible. Holden had REALLY bad reflux and never did this so i'm really confused as to what's causing it.
Sometimes he's farting when he does it and sometimes he isn't, so I don't know if it's gas either.

I had to hold him and walk around the house with him while feeding him today and even that only mildly calmed him down.

What could be causing this? Is it something I need to call the ped. about?

I also checked his mouth for thrush- all clear.

goodstart gentleplus. we went through 5 formulas with Holden and that was the only one he could tolerate so we decided to start there.

Could it be possible that Parker has a dairy allergy?

It is possible. Are you able to try him on a different formula to see if that is the problem.

It could be his formula or a dairy allergy. I'd try switching formulas and see if that helps.

I told my lactation consultant that there was mucous in one of Ezra's diapers and she said that might be a formula problem (lactose). She told me to watch for bloody mucous and then they would give me a special formula. Thankfully we have been able to get on with breastfeeding. No longer a problem.

Have you been seeing a mucous in his stool? I would definately call the pedi, they should give you a better idea on what is happening.

No mucus, but they are DEFINITELY watery. Today he apparently wasn't done when I went to change him, and on top of the regular looking baby poo in his diaper, literally water came out of his butt. I know that can't be normal.

After switching so much with Holden I don't think our pediatrician is going to want us to be so quick to switch but i'll call and ask on Monday and see what she thinks.
I am incredibly fearful of soy formula because of the high amounts of estrogen (can delay puberty in boys) it contains, and the fact that it completely stopped Holden's bowels up when we tried him on it.

Gah! babies should be easier than this!

Parker's symptoms seem to be: INCREDIBLY gassy (painful blood curdling scream type of gas), reflux, bubbly/tight tummy, watery poop.. all of which I read can be due to a cows milk allergy, but who knows.
Since we upped his reflux meds he hasn't been back-arching hardly at all.. it really seems to be the gas bothering him the most, and the bottle battles are driving me bananas.

Damian occasionally fights the boob for like the first 3 minutes, like he doesnt know what to do with it. I couldnt actually get him to latch to the skin while we were in the hospital, so they gave me some nipple cover thingy so its like hes on a bottle.

we have gripe water, it doesn't do anything for him but occasionally get rid of the hiccups.

The more I research and ask around, the more it seems like a dairy/milk protein allergy. I'm going to call his ped. Monday and see if we can't get his poop tested to make sure before making a formula switch.
Fun times!
