Does your LO use a binky? If so, what one did they take?
With Emily we bought a ton before she'd take one and she finally decided on the ugly soothie the hospital gave her. lol
Abby, I made sure they didn't give her one in the hospital. When we gave her one, she spit it out.. It was the Lil mam, (I think).. and she took the 2nd one.. the Playtex ortho latex.. She doesn't like the silicone nips.

ETA: I dont remember what kind it is, lol we threw away the box. I know what it looks like so I can buy more but I don't remember what it is. I got it at walmart and bought it bc its supposed to be like a real nipple. I think it was binky or something I really dont know lol

We actually gave Addison the soothie from the hospital last night for the first time ... she went to town on it for about 30 minutes ... spit it out and was sound asleep. We have others that were given to us ... but we are holding out on really using them unless REALLY necessary

I didn't want to but gave in beacuse without it she wants to nurse all the time even when she is not hungry and then would spit up what she ate,
I give her a soothie because she hurts my nipple when eating after she takes anything else

Olivia would never take one.
Josiah was given a soothie in the hospital. There is a certain time of the evening where he has a very strong desire to suck but does NOT want milk. He gets mad when he is latched on to me and he gets milk. lol
So at that time of night we do give him a soothie pacifier and he's able to satisfy his need to suck. Otherwise we don't use really use it.
We also plan on taking it away by the time he's about 8 months old although we'll see how it goes.

We've been going through binky hell!
We have literally tried over 7 different kinds and really he isn't a fan of ANY of them, including Holden's left over large sized binkies.
The only one he will suck for more than.. meh, 5 seconds? is the avent. Same as Holden, except Holden sucked that thing like it was going out of style while I have to pretty much hold it in Parker's mouth and watch him struggle to even latch on to it.
I'd be amped that he's not a binky baby if he didn't scream all the time.. a binky would SERIOUSLY help with that

Jenny, that's what we had to do with Emily. I have a drawer with about 10 different binkies that we tried with Emily, so I kept them to try with Abby. Thankfully she took the 2nd one we tried.

Taylor will only use the NUk one. She does not have it all the time, it is a last resort for us. It seems to calm her reflux, especially right before she is going to sleep.

Owen takes a soothie. With DD she didn't need one, she would suck her lip or tongue, or just nothing..... lol it was really cute. Owen doesn't do that and he has a VERY strong desire to suck. Especially when going down for naps. He'll suck it till he falls asleep and then spits it out. We will take it away around 6-7 months.
