Things had been going really well with Jillian. As you heard she was a very healthy weight! She looks so much like Ben. She got lots of beautiful silky dark hair. She breast feeds great and latches like a baracuda. My milk isn't in yet though and she has jaundice now.

Her level is 15.4 and they are keeping her here and putting her under the lights for now. Hopefully she'll be able to go home tomorrow. We were supposed to be coming home today so this is not what I had planned.

They are discharging me but they have a breast feeding room I should be able to stay in. I miss Ben so much it hurts. I want him to be able to see his sister and I want to snuggle them both together. Hopefully, tomorrow will be the day.

I'll work on a birth story maybe today. I can't really hold her unless I'm feeding her because she has to be under the lights so I don't have much else to do.

I'm so sorry!! They don't have the option for her to go home and use a bili blanket? Both of my kids were able to use the bili blanket instead of being in the hospital under the lights.

I am really glad they are letting you stay near here but so sorry you can't be home with her and Ben. Big ((hugs))

No, the Dr didn't even give us the option and when I asked they acted like I had no clue what I was talking about. We aren't able to see our family Dr here because they aren't affiliated with this hospital so we are stuck with the hospital Ped.

Oh god, I hated the hospital ped I had with Emily. I'm sorry you don't get to go home today. Can you leave for an hour or so when they discharge you and see Ben?
