Do you get undressed or ever naked in front of your little one?
What about your other half?
What age is it inappropriate to undress in front of your child? Does the gender matter?

This question was asked in the Jan 08 PR, and I am curious to know your opinions.. Thomas is at the age now where I am starting to get uncomfortable undressing the lower part of my body in front of him. My breasts don't phase him or me, as he just thinks that are there for babies, (wonder how long that will last... ) Tom has stopped showering with the boys as of last year, and always changes in the locked bathroom, I however get changed where ever, unless people are over.

Well, I have all girls and I have no problem changing in front of any of them. It's just how I grew up. My Mom did and still does change in front of me, as did my Grandma and Aunt. It wasn't weird, it was just how it was.
Jay however, does not undress in front of Kayla (obviously) or Emily. He stopped with Em at about 2 years when she started to ask questions or notice the difference.

I do, but DH never would since she was born! But he won't even go in his boxer shorts if ANYONE is around...not his Mom, Dad...etc.

I'm the same as Paula where my Mom will still change in front of me or vice versa (I am the only girl with 2 brothers), and so will my MIL, SIL, my aunts, friends...as long as we're all girls.

I change in front of both my kids right now. DH doesn't like to get dressed or undressed in front of Breana cause she is curious right now.

I do change in front of him. And don't really even think about it. Not to seem weird, but I also go to the bathroom with Julia right in the room (she follows me everywhere). Now she is not mine, but has been with me her whole life and her parents are very open and free about things like that. So it is not weird (they are well aware that she is in there too...I had to explain a period to her the other day!).

I just don't see stuff like that as necessary to make a big deal about. When/if either of them are uncomfortable with me changing or going to the bathroom with them around (they can stop following me! lol), I will do so out of their eyesight.

DH is just not a "group" changer. He locks the bathroom door even when it is just us. He doesn't even change with me in the room. He was raised that way and I understand that he just is not the same as my family was. My mom still gets changed with me around and vis versa. She walks around in a robe with my teenage brothers too. They barely put on anything but boxers for their days off. We just have that kind of family. And it is not bizarre to me. I will, however, respect if my child (or Julia) is uncomfortable with it and try to be more discrete.

My family is pretty open about women undressing in front of each other so I dont have any issues with getting changed in front of Tegan. My husband is much more conservative so it wont be much longer before he stops. He already makes sure he turns away or covers himself up when he changes. I'm not sure how long I would change in front of a son though, top I wouldnt care too much but bottoms maybe 4 or 5?

I change all the time in front of her but she is a girl. DH still changes around her too.... I am not sure when it will stop. We do have a different situation though because we do enjoy nude recreation at times (not a lot of people know this) and so we have been trying to figure that out as well.......... my family is very conservative and changes alone all the time. Guess I broke the mold....lol.
