I have few questions as first time mommy:-)
My dd was on similac advance initially for 3 days and we switched her to powder formula which made her constipated. So I switched to similac sensitive on ped's advice. she was doing ok but later her stools became hard and formed.my ped adviced me to try giving her some water and if it does not work Karo.i am giving her an oz of water but there is no difference. so i went back to similac advance before any medication and the stools became perfectl normal within few feedings. but my dd has lots of gas and does not drink more than an oz of similac advanvce. so i swithched back to sensitive again yesterday and stools are hard and with mucous.

I am pretty sure that sensitive is causing her hard and mucous stools. but I am not able to switch back to advance because she doesn't take it. I was wondering if I could try some other formula.

Do you ladies have any advice?

2) My next question is my dd sleeps all through the night but would twist and turn during sleep. I was noticing this from past 2 days as I put her next to me . she usually sleeps in bassinet..so I am not sure how long this was going on. Is any one aware of this issue. She does not quiver but she just turns around and twists though totally asleep.she becomes normal when i touch her and put her on my lap.once i put her down she repeats this in sleep. she does not cry or fuss..this happens only at night for an hr or so when i was trying hard to be awake.

Thanks in advance.

Her moving in her sleeps seems like gas to me. She's probably getting gas pains in her sleep and its making her move around. Have you tried differant types of Similac Advance? Are you giving the powder form now? If you are have you tried the ready to feed? If that doesn't work you may be able to switch to the regular Similac with Iron.

my baby will be 3 months old the 29th and the pediatrician has switched his formula 4 times.
first it was enfamil w iron
then enfamil prosobee
then enfamil gentlease
and finally enfamil lactofree

He is like a totally different baby now.He is so happy now. Before he was always crying and had colic and was very gassy.
