I have a few questions for anyone whose LO has been on Enfamil AR.

1. Since it is has added rice starch to thicken it, did it make your baby constipated at all?

2. Since it's supposed to be thicker, did your LO eat less at feedings, or did it remain about the same?

3. Anything else I should know? LOL What was your experience like?

TIA!
Jenny

I have no experience with A.R. Has she tried it yet? How did she tolerate it?

stains!?!?! AHHH!!!! Good to know. THANKS!!

No, I haven't given it to her yet. I didn't get to Target to grab a can until later this afternoon and I want to start her fresh in the AM rather than before bed if there is a potential for anything to go bad. LOL

I just mixed a pitcher of AR for tomorrow.... WOW is that stuff THICK!!!! It was more like... GOO... than a liquid. LOL I had to put it in two separate containers to shake it up, then it wouldn't all fit back into the original one I started with! HUH???

It was very foamy... I hope it will settle, being in the fridge over night... NOTE TO SELF - MUST premix!!!

LOL, I guess that's the rice starch in there that makes it so thick. Some of the moms on the GERD board use A.R., so you may wanna check that board out as well.

Keep us posted!

I posted my suggestion on your other post. I hope that it is still working. My son was briefly on it. It is very thick and if they do spit up it is a little chunky.

Well today went almost as well as yesterday.

She didn't spit up today either! YYYAAYYY!!! She spit a little bit... but I mean we are talking MINOR 1/2 teaspoon of spit. NOTHING compared to what it was before. It didn't even make it off her chin. LOL I did notice of THICK it was spit back up. LOL weird!!

But I could tell she was bothered by some reflux this afternoon. She was arching her back, pushing away the bottle. But it was only once, rather than EVERY feeding.
