For those who use this, is your REALLY pepperminty? We got Brennan's yesterday and I smelled the liquid and it smelled like a liquid Altoid! He hates it, when I give it to him he gags and makes this gross sound and pushes it out with his tongue. I have to squeeze a tiny bit in his mouth, then blow in his face to get him to swallow, then repeat until he gets his full dose.

So I am wondering if it's normal to be all super mega minty or did the pharmacy put some supreme mint flavoring in our bottle?

No, it's all like minty like that. Brayden hated it too. I heard that some pharmacies (like Target) can add flavoring, but not all insurances will pay for that. I figured it would end up being like a minty grape or something and never bothered, he moved on to a different medication in a few weeks anyway.

Hope you get good results from it!

Hmm - minty?? Seems odd... must be an added flavor. I would call the pharmacy and ask.

Is it helping him at all?? Hope he's doing better

I don't know yet. He's been on it for a little over a day, but we also ran out of the ready-to-feed and went back to powder so I don't know if he is still fussy from the change back to powder or if he isn't getting relief yet from the medication. Granted it's been hard to get him to take a full dose because he hates the taste of it. it's VERY strong. I did ask on another board if that was normal and I guess the generic of it is very minty, most of them said theirs was very minty too.

I wonder if the pharmacist can give you one that isn't minty?
