I posted something similar on the Pumping forum as right now I am still pumping full time.
I will probably start the BCP tomorrow morning. I had my 6 week check today and discussed some hormone probs I have been having with the dr. Mainly, I have irregular heart beats that I think are caused by the lack of estrogen post partum. It's pretty distracting and unnerving.
So I used to be on the Pill and it was not this bad. My questions are:
1) are any of you on the Pill?
2) when did you start post partum?
Just an update: my pediatrician said there is no issue with Orthotricyclene Lo and feeding baby BM a few times a day. I only can produce about enough for 3 BM servings per day and will likely stop pumping when i go back to work. The Pill definitely has cut my supply as well.
"Hopefully" there are no longterm hormonal effects and the benefit of some BM a day outweighs any amount of meds that pass to baby. I have to trust what the doc says, I spose!
