A while ago Hayden was acting hungry after 4 oz at a feeding so I upped him to 5oz and he was fine..then i decided to move to a faster flow nipple (I use Playtex vent air and now Avent, primarily i'm using the avent ones now) and he would finish faster which was nice lol but then sometimes act still hungry..so yesterday i decided to try for 6oz! I feel like that is so much but he's been fine.. he's only 4 months.. is 6 oz too much?? especially because he STILL eats every 3 hours which is sometimes a nightmare! he rarely goes more than that except at night he goes anywhere from 5-7hours....
i know every baby is different but i was wondering how much you all were feeding your LO and how often do they eat?

bella is almost 2mons and already at 6oz. My son was already on 6oz by this time as well. She eats every 3-4hrs, sometimes even at night.

Mya eats 6oz with rice cereal in it every 3 hrs and she just turned 5 months. She's been eating that amount since she was probably 2 or 3 months old.

There is a sticky thread with a great chart for the formula amounts on this board. You can find it at this link: http://www.justmommies.com/forums/f9...a-amounts.html (Formula Amounts)

Like you said, every baby is different, and you can hardly over feed a baby so young. He could be going through a growth spurt as well.

My only thought is about the fast flow nipple. I wonder if he is eating faster and not feeling full as quickly. Like when we eat fast as adults, we can stuff our selves pretty quick. Does that make any sense? Nothing to concerning, just trying to trouble shoot.

I think Kaylin was up to 4-6 oz at four months old, but she went a lot longer in between... 4 - 5 hours.
