Has your little one had any ear infections?
What type of symptoms did they have - and how fast did they go from being 'a little off colour' to 'obviously not well'??
to this point Emersyn hasn't had any - but I think she may have one now - we're off to the doctor at 2.15pm. Last 3 days she's been rubbing one of her ears - but she's teething so I thought her ears may have been a little sore because of this, then all of a sudden yesterday she just started screaming - and you could tell it was a scream of pain. gave her paracetamol & rang the doctor to make an appointment... then 5 minutes after the doctor closed she got worse I had to ring the after hours nurse & he told me to give her some ibuprofen & if that didn't work to take her in. luckily the ibuprofen worked, and she seems a bit happier today - but I have been keeping on top of the pamol/ibuprofen combination... part of me hopes she DOES have an ear infection because at least then it can be treated
Sam had one official ear infection and with this last illness they said his ears were "pink" so they are calling it an ear infection but I am not certain it was? who the heck knows! my dd has tubes and I sorta feel like Sam will need them too, I had terrible ears as a child too until I got my tonsils and adenoids removed that seemed to solve the issue for me.
