Just wondering who does your babies 'well child checks' - or whatever they're referred to where you live (regular health checks from 0-5)?
Over here we have 'Plunket' nurses - Plunket was a society set up 100 years ago & their focus was 0-5yo health... so for most NZ'ers, a plunket nurse is the primary well child practicioner, but over the past few years a lot of people have turned their backs on Plunket (i'm close to doing so) because of how they're run - so a lot have been going to GP's.
It is VERY rare for a kid to see a pediatrician here, unless there is a reason to - such as a referral from a GP because of a health issue
Our pedi does the well child checks, he even does the shots himself not the nurse. I love our pedi he is so funny LOL and he always tells me how skinny I am and that I am an awesome mom, who wouldn't love that?
