but my husband feels really strongly about formula feeding this time, and it's not worth it to me to create strife in my marriage over whether the baby have formula or breast milk. It's still been hard on me. I'm having a hard time getting support. Most breastfeeding mamas I know only add to making me feel guilty (probably not intentionally) over not fighting my husband over this issue, and I hesitated posting here because I worried it might be offensive that I may or may not formula feed but that I believe in breast feeding and wish that was what I was doing. BUT I was hoping maybe I'd get more support here than I've got elsewhere, maybe if there are other mamas here who wanted to breastfeed and for whatever reason ended up formula feeding. I do still hope my husband will "come around" but (unlike some people in my life) I don't think FF is the end of the world and can understand where my husband is coming from regarding what the benefits are. I do wish him and I could come to a solution. Anyone else ever been a similar situation? How did you deal with it?

I wanted to breastfeed but couldn't because I'm on strong medications. I was really upset with it at first but I'm a bit better with it now. Since I can't breastfeed I just made a vow to myself to properly clean/sterilize the bottles, properly make the bottle, make sure the formula container is clean to make up for not being able to breastfeed. My baby is healthy, and I can keep track that she is eating the right amount(which I really like about FF.) FF ISNT the end of the world like you said, it's just a really good alternative to BF. I used 'Enfamil Premium Newborn' because it's specifically made for newborns. I wish you luck.

Thanks so much for the feedback! All that bottle cleaning and sterilizing is about, admittedly, overwhelming to me. I might make DH do it though... Do you have bottle recommendations? Or sterilization kits or anything you like?

I just use a microwave sterilizer..I just pop it in the microwave like for 6 minutes after cleaning. It only takes me like 5 minutes to clean 4 bottles. I got the born free bottles..3 parts. They are available in glass and BPA plastic.
bottle:Amazon.com: Born Free 9 oz. Classic Bottle - 3 pack: Baby
microwave sterilizer:http://www.amazon.com/Munchkin-Steam...ave+sterilizer

^Made to be used with Munchkin bottles but it still works with mine .
