Hi ladies,

Nathan (just about 9m now) has been formula fed since he was about 2 months old. Ever since then he has been fed 4 oz every two hours (unless sleeping). Thats all him, he always wanted to eat every 2 hours and would only take 4 oz at a time. Well now (FINALLY) he has started taking 5 or 6 oz. I'm just not sure how often to feed him now, if hes taking 6 oz at a time. Can someone help me please?

Thanks so much!

Cohen was eating every 4 hours by about 4 months old and we just stuck with that. I would say every 3-4 hours maybe, if you can go on his cues that would be best. my doc said as long as he didnt get more than 40 ounces a day. but once he was on solids she wanted him to be more at 30 max. I am sure everydoc is different though, but I am pretty sure about the 40 thing begin universal, just cant remember why over 40 is bad.

Can you tell when he is hungry? I just feed Paige whenever she seems hungry. She will refuse the bottle if she is not. She usually starts sucking on her hands when she is hungry...then it turns into whinig then crying.
