Hello Ladies here is my birth story.
7-14 5:30 pm my water breaks while I was working in garden. I wasn't ctx and Ben's parents where landing at the airport. So I called my midwife and decided we would go out to dinner. But an hour after my ctx were every 4 min and strong. I felt overwhelmed and lost. We ordered take out instead which I didn't really eat and I saw inlaws for a moment. It took me 2 hours to get myself under control then I did really well with Ben helping me. By 9ish then next morning I had a cirvical lip on left side and my body was trying to push on it's own. We did some position changes and tryed to breath through the pushes then decided to push through lip. It seemed to work and lip went a way then an hour into pushing lip was back. So We started over with resting and new positions and same thing happened again. So we called my Chiro out and he ajusted me and we started pushing again. This time my cervix decided to close to a 9 not swollen though. At this point I had pushed for 3 hrs, water was broken for 24hrs and I was tired. So we decided to go into the hospital. We all know something was off with this labor because I was pushing really well but baby would not desind. I got the epi so that i could rest and 2hrs later I was complet but once I started to push lip came back and baby still wouldn't move. So c-section I went. Ethan had a large calpult(sp) and was found to be OP. We are not sure if it was just the bad position that made him not desend. All in all I am ok with how it went. I knew how the tranfer would go and I gave it my all. Here is a link to some pics of Ethan let me know if it doesn't work. Ericka Berle's Photos - Ethan Berle Allen | Facebook
Congrats on Ethan, he is beautiful. And, you did amazing, if he had cooperated you would have had a natural birth. I'm glad he is here safe and sound, and it doesn't matter how that happened. Congrats!
ETA: The reason my dd Sarah was a c-section was because of her position ("sunny side up" they called it). after 23 hours of hard labor, they called her "failure to progress" and soon discovered she was stuck behind my pelvic bone.
You did real well laboring as long as you did.
