Leave it to me to make a mountain out of a mole hill... But I'm so paranoid about starting solids. Last night I was bored so I put her new high chair together. That's when it hit me.

I've decided to feed her all organic, at least until she's 1. Then I'll decide what to do from there. Even if I don't continue to feed her organic I plan to be very selective about what I feed her. I've already started stocking up on foods. Not too much...I know she may not like certain things. I'm very picky about the food she'll be eating. Not just now but in the future as she gets older. I already didn't get to BF her, so I think that's why I'm extra conscious about making sure she gets the best possible nutrition now. I keep thinking that the way I start her out eating now will affect her health and eating habits in the long run. I want her to have little to no exposure to junk food and fast food. I'm already up against alot because no one really supports me on how I want to feed her. They think its too strict, and it may be. I don't care. I just want the best for her and want her to be as healthy as possible and all of that begins with what she eats!

I'm done rambling now.

solids are intimidating ! I was afraid too when I started with Katie.
I have to admit though, it IS FUN ! and the extra bonding that I get with her is just INCREDIBLE.
it is just us, having fun, experimenting and having our "girl time" sounds silly I know, but I wouldnt trade the time for anything.

I try to choose the best for her also, luckily, there really is a great selection out there for moms who choose to buy baby food.

relax & have fun with her.....and dont forget to report to us when you start !

We may be starting within the next week or 2, depending on what her doctor suggests at her 4 month appointment next week. We've been sitting her in the high chair once or twice a day so she can get used to it. She likes chewing on the straps. Hope she's as interested in cereal as she is in trying to eat the straps.
