how is baby doing with solids?
what have you given so far?
were you nervous about giving solids for the first time?

how is baby doing with solids? not very well , i am putting myself in the beginner category
what have you given so far? avacado (she throws up), peaches, prunes, peas, butternut squash, sweet potato & oatmeal
were you nervous about giving solids for the first time? a little - i am honestly more nervous that i was when i started giving them to her - she refuses them almost every time now

kristi,

what kind of consistency are they? some baby do not like very thin purees and do better with something a little thicker.
just a thought !

what have you given so far? Carrots, peas, squash, sweet potatoes, green beans, rice cereal, pears, peaches, purnes.

yeah, she seems to like the thinner purees better right now. but since she doesn't take them that much i have tried thicker and even tried to let her feed herself bits of banana. she acts like she is gagging on thicker food and just played with the banana, didn't try to eat it. i am just trying to offer smaller amounts more frequntly. i still don't push it if she doesn't want it.
