Hello. My daughter is just over a month old always seems pretty hungry. Currently she is only sleeping for 2 hours and then up again to eat for over an hour each time. I have talked to my doctor about starting her on baby cereal but he said that it is usually at 4 months you start. Since our doctor's appointment she is getting even hungrier. What I am wondering is if it would be a bad thing to start her on baby cereal already. My sister had to do it with her baby, so i'm wondering if i should do the same. I'd like to hear your opinions. Thanks.
It may just be that she is going through a growth spurt. If it is a growth spurt, she will slow down again on the formula. If she continues to drink the 40oz a day I may consider starting cereal. Some babies do have a higher metabolism and need to be started on cereal earlier.
