After eating rice cereal and oatmeal for a month, we gave Trinity sweet potatoes today. She ate 1/2 in the afternoon and 1/2 in the evening with cereal. The first time she looked confused but she was receptive to it...ate the whole serving. The second time she got upset when they were all gone. We'll give it 3 or 4 more days, then its on to carrots.

They smelled really good too. Very fresh! We used Earth's Best and I was happy with it.

Yeah, I heard that...that their skin can turn orange from orange veggies. None so far though!

I thought it was recommended to introduce sweet potatoes last and greens first?

I think there are conflicting opinions on what foods to introduce when - we started with sweet potatoes and haven't had a problem with him preferring sweet tastes - he eats his peas and green beans just as well as the sweet potatoes. I think no matter what, there are going to be certain foods that baby isn't going to like as much on first try and you'll just have to keep offering them.
