I just looked at ingredients of some mixed vegetables that we've got here - I was just going to make baby food. They're carrots, peas, corn and beans... and then there's "Salt" listed. Should I abstain from using this for baby food, or is this ok?

It depends on how much salt is actually in it. Babies only need about 1g of salt per day.

some labels on foods give the amount of sodium in grams per 100g of food.
To convert sodium to salt, you need to multiply the amount of sodium by 2.5
1 gram of sodium per 100g = 2.5 grams salt

Sounds good! Thanks so much.

We did the math - in 2/3 cup there's 162.5g of salt - so if we package it in small amounts, there will be less salt.

Thanks!

I think it is "okay". YOu CAN buy it without, without is best. Keeps baby from getting warped taste buds like us grownups.
